Several ’80 Golden Horseshoes gathered in Troy for Reunion Weekend 2025 to celebrate our 45th, the first in-person reunion for our class in the post-COVID era. Although the cool and (very) rainy, nor’easter, challenged the festivities and travel plans for many, it did not dampen the fun or spirits for those in attendance. Among the activities were an all-class cookout, and the Alumnae Luncheon where our own Karen Neil Drenkard and Crickett Thomas O’Dell were honored with the “Women of Influence Award”.

Congratulations ladies on your outstanding achievements! You make our class very proud! With rain gear and umbrella in hand, Nancy Schell Keohane, Nancy Welby Check and Linda Miller Freligh braved the elements to represent us in the class parade and a small group enjoyed the reunion class dinner at the Troy Country Club. It was fun to be back on campus to catch up with long-time friends, revisit fond memories and places and to witness the changes and improvements time has wrought. Even the rain brought a touch of nostalgia!

Looking forward we now turn our attention toward our truly golden 50th reunion just a few short years away. Under the leadership of our Class President, Nancy Schell Keohane, we want to start collecting ideas and making plans for a memorable weekend beginning with full class participation. Please spread the word, encourage involvement, and let us know how to best connect with classmates that have been “off the RSC radar”. With the availability of social media, a current class listing, and many of us sharing enduring friendships with “Sage sisters” let’s work together to reach out and make our 50th one of the best for the memory book!
