How to Access Your Benefits

Alumnae/i must obtain an Alumni card, which verifies status as a graduate. You may apply for a free alumni card online, or contact the Office of Alumnae/i Relations via email at rscalum@sage.edu.

Admission and Tuition Benefits

Alumnae/i of Russell Sage College, Sage College of Albany (formerly Sage Junior College of Albany), and the School of Professional & Continuing Education (formerly Sage After Work or Sage Evening College) are eligible for:

  • 10% discount of first 6 credit hours at Sage Graduate School
  • Application fee waiver

Fitness Centers

The Russell Sage College Recreation & Fitness Department promotes lifelong health and wellness through diverse and comprehensive programs, while fostering a sense of identity for those in the Sage community. The FitStop, the McKinstry Fitness Center, group fitness classes, club sports, intramural sports, outdoor education, employee wellness program and various partnerships throughout Russell Sage College and surrounding areas have many options to meet the needs and desires of all participants.

  • Membership cost: 
    Annual fee of $100
  • Membership benefits: 
    Access to both the Albany Armory FitStop and the Troy McKinstry Fitness Center during their posted hours of operations. 
  • Equipment: 
    Free weights, cable machines, squat racks, TRX Bands, yoga stations, punching bags, Cardio machines, and more!

*Please note that all facilities have limited hours during breaks and are closed on days that Russell Sage College is closed.

Career Services

Russell Sage College is committed to serving its alumnae/i through a variety of career development services. Graduates are welcome at both Career and Self Discovery Centers, located on both campuses.

Alumnae/i can receive assistance with their resume, cover letter, statement of purpose, networking, interviewing skills, job search, graduate school applications, personality/interest assessments of career fit, and other career guidance surrounding career/job change and re-entering the workforce. Alumnae/i can also volunteer to participate in programs such as job shadowing, internships and career panels.

Library Access

Alumni have access to both the Albany and Troy campus libraries. Specific information about alumni access to the library can be found here: Alumni Access to Library Resources.

For everyone’s safety, libraries have FOB access, which is reserved for current students, faculty and staff. In order for alumnae/i to enter library buildings, you must contact campus safety at 518-244-3177 and show your alumni card.  Alumnae/i must then check in with the front desk and present their Alumni Card. We recommend making Campus Safety a contact in your phone. On Campus Wi-Fi using personal laptops is ONLY available to those currently enrolled at Russell Sage College.

  • In Albany,
    The library is located at 140 New Scotland Avenue, between Froman Hall and the residence hall.  Alumni Access to the Albany Campus Library is possible during all hours of regular operation. To contact the Albany campus library, please call 518-292-1721.
  • In Troy,
    The Library is located in the Shea Learning Center at 40 Ferry Street and can be reached by calling 518-244-2249.
