The Class of 1978 had an incredible 45th reunion this year. Being able to use French House (my sophomore year dorm!) as a meeting place for our class and, having our joint class dinner at the elegant Franklin House was so special. Our reunion committee and the RSC Reunion organizers did an outstanding job of coordinating the events.
I did collect surveys on those who attended and will put those results up when I return home in a few weeks. However, I wanted to acknowledge some highlights of this year’s reunion and members of our class of ’78.
The 2023 Doris Crockett Medal Award, is the Alumnae Association’s highest honor and is given to alumnae for distinguished professional achievement and community service. This year’s recipient was Julia Greenstein. It was very fitting that the award was presented to Julia by her close friend and class of ’78 classmate, Patricia Timpano Sparrell.
Patricia Timpano Sparrell was also honored with the Alumnae of Influence Award, given to alumnae for distinguished service.
Congratulations to both!
We are very thankful for our generous class donors and the reunion committee’s coordination of fundraising that provided scholarships for 6 students! The class of ’78 also had the most donors this reunion year.
