Paula Harris was recently featured in the Keeping Our Promise newsletter for her dedication to the organization.
Paula has been involved with Keeping Our Promise for the past five years after she learned about KOP at an information meeting held at her synagogue, Temple B’rith Kodesh.
Paula and several others in the congregation formed a caring circle and continue to maintain a close bond with their Afghan family. She will proudly tell you about all of her Afghan friends’ successes, including purchasing their own home and sending several of their children to college.
Witnessing how much this family accomplished in such a short time has fueled Paula to further her involvement with KOP.
Paula sits on the fundraising committee and has crisscrossed Monroe County, securing desserts for KOP’s upcoming Road to Resilience Gala and silent auction items.
Keeping Our Promise Mission is to provide comprehensive resettlement assistance to endangered wartime allies who served U.S. interests in conflict and war zones.
